NBC's Universal Sports today named famed American ski racer Lindsey Vonn Female Athlete of the Decade. Lindsey, a two time World Champion, was chosen along with Usain Bolt, the male Jamaican sprinter, (the world's fastest man), for the honor. Lindsey crashed and did not finish this past Tuesday, the 28th of December, in the first leg of the GS race at Lienz Austria. With an injury to her left arm, she managed to ski down on her own as well as ski in the slalom the next day placing 18th. She was fortunate that she did not break her arm. To see Lindsey's GS run go to: Lindsey is expected to ski in the World Cup Slalom Race this coming Tuesday in Zagreb Slovenia, probably with an arm brace and duct tape. Sarah Schleper of Vail Colorado was the highest scoring American ending up 13th. Sarah placed 5th in the slalom the following day at Lienz with her best finish in slalom since 2005.
